Acts chapter 6 provides insights about the ways in which the earliest church of Jerusalem had to go through hardships. Apart from hardships, there had also been the presence of opportunities for the operators of the church to grow the church and the faith of new believers of the church. The first question that arises from this chapter is, “Why had it been important for Stephen and other individuals to bear witness and spread the word of God as per Jesus to the Jews and Gentiles?” The second question that arises from this chapter is, “Why had persecution and suffering been made by God mandatory for the believers of Christ to experience and go through even after having strong faith in Christ?”
